RCO683D-S und RCO693D-S
Dear system partners,
unfortunately the 15.4″ touch panel did not make it into our current catalogue. Therefore we present our newest member of the ELESTA family again separately.
The RCO693D-S is the big brother of the RCO683D-S. The differences are the larger screen diagonal of 15,6″/39,6cm and the FullHD resolution with 1920x1080px.
The cutout dimensions for the switch cabinet remain the same. You can easily replace an RCO683D-S with an RCO693D-S.
Due to the “scale” function in the current RCO-tool you don’t even need to adjust the existing RCO-Web menu. Even for new installations you can use the templates of the “fully integrated modules” and simply upscale the web menu.

RCO683D-S
The new RCO683D-S replaces the RCO682D-S. The new touch panel, as well as the 15.4″ panel, are manufactured using the new optical bonding technology. This improves the display and the durability. The cut-out dimensions of the new RCO683D-S remain the same as the predecessor, only the front panel height is increased by one centimeter.
In optical bonding, the air gap between the touch panel and the LCD cell is closed by joining the two components with a silicone adhesive.
Reduction of reflections
Every time light enters a material with a different refractive index, about 4% of the light is reflected. Thanks to the silicone adhesive, which has a similar refractive index to that of the touch panel and LCD cell, the light only refracts once when it enters the display unit and once when it exits. This allows us to reduce the reflections in optically bonded devices by up to 65% compared to conventional displays.
Increasing the display brightness
Attaching a protective glass reduces the brightness of the display by increasing the reflection of the light coming out. With faytech’s optically bonded display units no additional reflections occur because the protective glass is bonded to the display. This process increases the brightness of our units by approximately 10%.
No fogging or dust in the display
If a device is not optically bonded, there is always a small air gap between the touch panel and the LCD panel in which humidity condensation may occur due to temperature or air pressure fluctuations. In addition, dust may accumulate between the touch and LCD panels of non-optically bonded devices that are also not hermetically sealed.
Robustness of the display
The silicone used provides additional stability of the display against mechanical stress, as any knocks or impacts are better absorbed by the elasticity of the silicone.
